For the second time in 3 years, our church was privileged to host a regional Ladies’ Seminar. Our theme was “Desert Blossoms: Having Joy In The Dry Seasons Of Life.” Which was almost ironic since a monsoon blew in Saturday and it rained all day long!
Over 240 ladies representing 30 churches in Texas, Oklahoma and even Missouri made their way to Wylie for the event. Our special guest speakers included Suza Rasmussen from Lancaster, CA; Memorie Suggs from Rendon, TX; and our own pastor’s wife, Amanda Rasbeary. In addition, there were split sessions for pastor’s wives, laywomen, teenagers, and special music. These were taught by our featured speakers as well as Leeanne Graf of Sanger, TX; Christine Frazier of Burnet, TX; and our own Meredith Absher and Lisa Camp. There was a wonderful spirit in the meeting and everyone seemed to have a tremendous time.
As pastor of Lighthouse Baptist Church, I would like to say how proud I am of the ladies of our church for doing such a tremendous job in this meeting! There are so many details in an event like this, and yet our mostly volunteer workforce planned, organized, and worked to make it a great success. Everything was first class. Thank you for your service to the Lord and to others. Below are some pictures from the event:
