Eleazar’s Stand (Audio)

At the end of David’s life, the old warrior began to reminisce about some of his experiences with his mighty men on the field of battle. One of the first that came to mind took place at Pasdammim, where a troop of Philistines had gathered together to plunder a parcel of ground full of barley. The Israelites of the area fled; only David and Eleazar stood to fight the troop of Philistines. Back to back they battled. Eleazar’s hand grew weary but he continued on; when the last Philistine fell, his hand had cramped so badly that his fingers had to be pried from the hilt. But God gave them the victory. This strong message, a challenge to God’s people, was preached on Sunday night, July 1, and discusses three important facts about ELEAZAR’S STAND. I truly enjoyed the message. It was the old-time religion the way it used to be preached.
