“Every Place That Your Foot Shall Tread”

“Every place that the sole of your foot shall tread upon, that have I given unto you, as I said unto Moses. {4} From the wilderness and this Lebanon even unto the great river, the river Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and unto the great sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your coast.” Joshua 1:3-4

God had much more for Israel than they ever enjoyed. He promised them not only the land of Canaan, but land stretching all the way to the Euphrates River – land that they have never possessed. In fact, some have said that Israel never possessed more than 10% of all that God had promised them.

God’s promise to Joshua and Israel as they were about to transition from the wilderness wastelands into the Promised Land was that every place the soles of their shoes trod upon would be their possession. It was not enough to stand on the other side of Jordan and wish for the Promised Land – they had to arise, cross over, and take it. This message, preached Sunday evening, June 3, is a challenge to leave the wilderness behind, cross over, and begin to claim all that God has for you in His perfect will for your life.
