“THE PATHS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.” The fourth message in our study of the 23rd Psalm: “He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.” The Christian life is more than meandering through green pastures and resting beside still waters. We have to get up and do the will of God – and that means faithfully following the Shepherd in the paths of righteousness. The Shepherd leads the flock Forward, Faithfully, and Favorably. Preached Sunday morning, January 1, 2012, at LBC Wylie.
“THE VALLEY OF THE SHADOW OF DEATH.” This message, the fifth study of the 23rd Psalm, covers the wonderful promises of verse 4 – “Yeah, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil…” Death is “the king of terrors” and his shadow falls over every man’s life from birth. Every path leads into his valley. The Christian, however, can face even this dark passage with faith, knowing that the Shepherd is his Guide. Preached Sunday morning, January 8, 2012, at LBC, Wylie.
