Ministries No Church Needs Volunteers For.

One mark of a healthy church is a vibrant and manifold ministry focused on carrying out the Great Commission – winning souls, baptizing believers, and teaching them the commands of Christ. Every Spirit-led Christian will thus be placed in a local church body, where his or her spiritual gifts and talents can be used for the glory of God and the benefit of the church. And no church ever has enough willing servants. The harvest is plenteous but the laborers are few.

However, there are some ministries that NO church needs volunteers for. This message, preached at Lighthouse Baptist Church on November 20, 2011, looks at three such “ministries” that we should avoid at all costs: The Eliab Ministry, the ‘Send Them Away Ministry,’ and the ‘Ways and Means Committee.’  Download MP3.  Listen Now.
