What Satan Would Do To You If He Could.

“What Satan Would Do To You If He Could.” Recent events in our local and national news should serve as a reminder and a warning that the enemy of God is still “walking about, as a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8). The devil hates God and he hates God’s people. He is not our opponent, but our adversary; he does not want to simply beat us – he wants to steal, kill and destroy, so that even after we are gone our testimony will bring shame and reproach to the cause of Christ.

In the Book of Job, we are shown what Satan would love to do to us, if he could. God limited the trial so that it would not be more than Job could bear – but I wonder how prepared any of us are for the devil’s attacks? Satan attacked Job spiritually, financially, emotionally, physically, and domestically. Herein is the blueprint of what he would do to you, if he could.  Download MP3.

“Why Are We Still Here?” Preached after Harold Camping’s failed prediction of the Rapture (which he said would happen Saturday the 21st), this message answers the question, “Why are we still here?” Why hasn’t the Lord raptured us out yet? We know that the Lord will return, but no man or angel knows the day or the hour. We DO KNOW, however, how to be saved forever by the grace of God. Download MP3.

  1. Richard says:

200+ years ago, it was very, very common to hear preaching about current events; both of these messages Sunday reminded me of the old-time, old-fashioned way that things used to be done.

Carry on, preaching the whole counsel of God!
