Tonight was one of the sweetest services I can remember. What a blessing after a long day’s work. Our good friends, the Johnny Leslie family (missionaries to Croatia), were our guests for the evening service. It is always a blessing to see old friends when they come back to the States. Bro. Leslie and I graduated from college together in 1997. It’s sad to see how everyone else has aged while I stay the same! Ha!
Our children’s choir sang tonight and did a great job. I don’t remember any children’s choir singing louder or with more enthusiasm than this group did tonight. We also had a sweet special from our girls’ trio – made up of Bridget and Kylie with my daughter Becky, and Mrs. Brunworth playing the piano. It was great. Then Bro Leslie preached a great message with a lot of fire. The altars were packed. I believe that we had a record attendance tonight!
At the end of the service, we watched a slideshow movie I prepared with pictures from 2010. It was heartwarming to look back on our experiences together as a church family. Then, we had a fun Christmas party with some great food and a White Elephant gift exchange in which I managed to come away with a Starbucks gifts card. I’ve never been there before, so I plan to cash that it soon.
Praise the Lord for His goodness!
