Recently, some long play vinyl records were turned in to our church garage sale. Among them were four records of sermons by the late evangelist, Dr. B.R. Lakin. These records were converted into MP3 format by Richard Losey so that they could be shared over the Internet.

Dr. Lakin called himself “just a country preacher.” He began his ministry in the 1920′s as a circuit riding preacher, traveling the backwoods of West Virginia and Kentucky on the back of a mule. As an evangelist from 1952-1984, Dr. Lakin traveled 50,000 miles a year and spoke to an average of 4000 people a week. These messages by “The Voice of the Appalachians” are timeless masterpieces that will speak to your heart today as they have spoken to many thousands prior.
